Jackson, MS (July 15, 2021) -- A Friday night setting will look different this week, as Kings Hammer FC will be playing in Clinton, Mississippi. Over 690 miles away from Cincinnati, Mississippi Brilla FC are the hosts for the Conference Quarterfinals and Semifinals over the weekend. For the first match of the night, Kalamazoo FC will play Corpus Christi FC at 6:00pm ET. The winner of that match will play the winner of Mississippi Brilla FC and Kings Hammer FC on Sunday July 18.

Mississippi Brilla FC won the Mid South Division of the Central Conference with an 8-3-2 win-draw-loss record. A goal differential of +15 from only allowing 11 goals all season shows a stout defense for the long-standing USL League Two club. Since 2007, Brilla have won five divisional titles, including 2021, and have played in four US Open Cups. Their best finish in the League was in 2017 when they reached the National Semifinals, where they lost to the eventual National Champions 3-1.

Led by proven goal-scorer Ciro Damine, who has seven goals and one assist, Brilla have scored 26 goals in their 13 games this season. Two others, Jalen James and James Ndubueze, have scored five goals each. David Medeiros leads the Brilla with three assists. Between the goalposts, Alejandro Chavarria has logged 900 minutes in 10 games, only allowing six goals while collecting 26 saves en route to a .812 save percentage and 0.60 goals against average.

The first-ever USL League Two season for Kings Hammer FC has been memorable and hopefully will continue past Friday. During the grind of the Great Lakes Division, KHFC put together an 8-4-2 record with the only two losses against the Division winners (Kalamazoo FC). On the season, the Club has scored 25 goals and allowed 17, earning four clean sheets.

Fifteen different players have registered at least one goal for KHFC and ten different players have tallied at least one assist. The balanced attack has opened the door from scoring from anyone on the field for KHFC, but also led to some close calls on the season with several stoppage time goals to preserve points. Danny Barlow has led the way since the beginning, after scoring the first goal in club history, Barlow has led the team in goals, assists, points, shots, and minutes played throughout the season. The tandem strikers, Timmy Ennin and Luca Erhardt are right behind with three goals each. Jared Brown has been the primary goalkeeper for Kings Hammer as he has played 10 games and 900 minutes. While earning only two shutouts, Brown has made 45 saves with a .776 save percentage and 1.30 goals against average.
