South Bend, IN (May 28, 2022) - In the inaugural year for both clubs in 2021, it was a story of draws for each. A 0-0 draw in South Bend was followed by a 2-2 draw in Cincinnati. The fourth match of the season for either side is important as they sit 2nd (South Bend) and 3rd (KHFC) in the table after three matches. South Bend has a 2-0-1 record while Kings Hammer holds a 1-1-1 record, a winner can move either into the top spot through a third of the season.

South Bend is coming off a major 5-0 win on Wednesday against Toledo Villa. The nice rebound win came after a 2-1 loss against in-state rivals Fort Wayne FC. Similarly to their win against Toledo, South Bend opened with a 5-0 win against Dayton, in a match that had several storm delays.

Kings Hammer looks to start their away days off on the right foot. The match in South Bend is the first of four straight away matches, including two in Toledo. It was a back-and-forth affair the last trip to South Bend, which saw the 0-0 draw after a late Ben Hegge goal was called back for offside - video showed otherwise. In what looks to be an even matchup, both teams have the same amount of shots (27) and corners (15), South Bend has the advantage in only conceding two goals to KHFC's four.

Notable players: 
Maouloune Goumballe (KHFC) - The second-year KHFC winger leads the team in goals (2) and is second in shots (5). His two goals against Cleveland in the last outing tied the club-record for goals in a game (2).

Taylor Dyson (KHFC) - Two assists in the last two games, current KHFC leader in assists on the team (2). The central midfielder has seen time in all three matches on the season.

Connor Duggan (SBL) - English striker for South Bend has come over from Kettering Town FC, which shares ownership with the USL2 side. Tallied two goals in their midweek win over Toledo Villa FC, which the two goals lead the team in scoring.
