Toledo, OH (June 4, 2022) - A Saturday afternoon match between Toledo Villa FC and Kings Hammer FC has both teams needing and wanting the three points. Kings Hammer sits right above Toledo in the table, with a draw as the only difference in points, but Toledo has a game in hand. This will be the first of three matches between the two clubs, with another one in Toledo coming just a mere 10 days later.

After a strong start to their season saw wins against Flint City Bucks (friendly) and the Dayton Dutch Lions FC (2-1), Toledo Villa has dropped their last two matches. A home-heavy schedule with their first five matches all being at Paul Hotmer Field, Toledo will be looking at getting back on form before they start a grueling away schedule with seven of their last eight matches all being outside of Toledo. While the club has only scored three goals in three matches, it is not because they do not shoot, as the club averages over 14 shots per game.

Kings Hammer FC continue a seemingly-normal streak of not putting together consistent results. Currently on a two-match winless streak, KHFC will want to gain points away to a struggling Toledo. Ben Hegge was able to tally his first goal of the season to draw even with South Bend in the last outing, only for the match to slip away later in the second half. Four different goal-scorers pace KHFC, while two others have collected assists.

A potentially warm Saturday afternoon will bring additional heat to the match between these I-75 rivals.

Notable players:
Maouloune Goumballe (KHFC) - The second-year KHFC winger leads the team in goals (2) and is second in shots (5). His two goals against Cleveland in May tied the club-record for goals in a game (2).

Taylor Dyson (KHFC) - Two assists in the last two games, current KHFC leader in assists on the team (2). The central midfielder has played in all four matches on the season.

Zach Hassell (TVFC) - The Floridian leads Toledo in shots (12) and is tied at the top on the team in goals scored (1). The midfielder is averaging over 80 minutes a game.

Match Details:
