Hamtramck, MI (June 4, 2022) - For the second time in four days, KHFC will be back in Michigan. This time, Detroit City FC are hosting Kings Hammer FC for a 4:00pm kickoff at Keyworth Stadium. Both clubs are coming off a loss, but Detroit City had just beat the foe that toppled KHFC in their previous outing in Michigan (Flint City AFC, 0-4).

Detroit City FC have picked up some major results by drawing Kalamazoo and Racing Louisville to start the season, then the win over Flint to finish May. All three losses suffered by DCFC have been close matches. While some matches have not gone their way, Detroit City has a potent attack with three players having double-digit shot attempts (Kennedy White, Gabriella Pool, and Madison Duncan). The three members of the Detroit City goalkeeping corps have all racked up a .800+ save percentage while collecting 34 saves in six matches.

Jordyn Rhodes and Lilly Yordy continue to pace KHFC in minutes and matches played, as both have played every match and every minute so far. Each are still looking to tally a goal or an assist as well, coming close at helping each other break the goal-scoring drought that has hit Kings Hammer. Over 28 players have suited up for Kings Hammer in the inaugural summer, and Sunday's tussle in Detroit will bring more new faces.

This is the first-ever matchup and will only play each other once this season in the Division's unbalanced scheduling.

Notable players:
Jordyn Rhodes (KHFC) - Featured as a "15 Players to Watch" by USL W League; an upcoming senior forward at the University of Kentucky. Rhodes is leads team in shots (12). Rhodes is one of two players to play every minute this season (450).

Lilly Yordy (KHFC) - A redshirt freshman at the University of Louisville, Yordy has played every minute this season (450) as an anchor on the defensive line.

Gabriella Pool (DCFC) - The Toledo Rocket forward leads DCFC in goals (3), points (6), and is second in shots (14). Pool is one of six DCFC players to have played in over 400 minutes on the season.
