Alexandria, KY (June 17, 2022) - Kings Hammer FC is back at home for the first time since May 20. A four-match away spell started off with a loss at South Bend. On Friday June 17, KHFC will look to avenge the loss in the last matchup with the Lions of the season. At 7:00pm, the match could give South Bend sole possession of 1st in the Valley Division, or bring Kings Hammer FC level on points and sharing 1st.

South Bend Lions are on a five-match unbeaten streak entering Friday's match at the MAC. In the previous five, South Bend has went WWDWW with 13 goals scored and only four goals conceded. Their only loss on the season was to 2nd place Fort Wayne FC, who they just upended on Saturday by the same score line, 2-1. A club who can score some goals, the Lions have yet to be shutout this season and have only scored one goal in one match of the seven played.

After two draws in 2021 with South Bend Lions, KHFC took a loss in 1-2 at South Bend in late May. Since then, both clubs are on a streak, with KHFC winning the last three matches (at Toledo, at Dayton, at Toledo, with a 9-3 goal differential). The streak has had its issues as it has required two come-from-behind wins, both at Toledo. The match against rivals Dayton was the first shutout on the season for the 2022 KHFC side. A win against South Bend can bring Kings Hammer FC equal on points, and potentially in a good spot as this match kicks off the second half of the season.

This match will be the second and final match of the season between the two clubs.

Notable players:
Marcello Jones (KHFC) - The second-year KHFC player has been on a hot streak scoring in three straight matches as he leads Kings Hammer FC in goals scored (4).

Taylor Rhinehart (KHFC) - A super sub the last two matches, Rhinehart has scored three goals in his two appearances for KHFC this season. His two goals against Toledo in the previous 3-2 win also tied the Club's record for goals in a game.

Tim Noeding (SBL) - A midfielder that hails from Germany, Noeding leads South Bend in goals scored (3) and is second in minutes played (457). The Palm Beach Atlantic player has added an assist and tallied five shots on the season.
