Alexandria, KY (July 1, 2022) - The third and final match between Toledo Villa FC and Kings Hammer FC will take place on Friday July 1 at 7:00pm at the Mustang Athletic Complex. An always entertaining matchup, KHFC has knocked off Toledo twice in Toledo this season, each requiring coming from behind to secure the victory. A win for KHFC will put the club top of the table, again.

Toledo Villa will need a win if they want to keep hopes alive for a postseason bid. The club is sitting fourth of six, and top two get the postseason appearance. At 12 points, winning the last four matches is the only way they can have a glimmer of a hope for their first USL League Two playoff dream. 

Kings Hammer FC can go top of the table for the second time this week. A win on Tuesday at Cleveland gave KHFC the lone spot at the top for roughly 24 hours, as South Bend and Kings Hammer swap 1 and 2 in the table. It could be the same scenario again, as South Bend has a critical match against Fort Wayne on Saturday night. As KHFC prepare for the Friday night match, Toledo stands in the way of tying the club-record seven match unbeaten streak. Kings Hammer FC will need to ensure wins continue to come as the Club aims to get into the USL League Two postseason for the second straight season.

This match is the second of three on the season between the two clubs. Cleveland Force will travel to the MAC and play the final match on Sunday July 10 at 7:00pm.

Notable players: 
Reece Allbaugh (KHFC) - Forward who plays collegiately at Wright State University, Allbaugh has tallied two goals in his last two matches, including a stoppage time equalizer in a thrilling 1-1 draw with Fort Wayne.

Mikkel Gøling (KHFC) - Gøling leads KHFC with assists (4) and set the club record for assists in a game (2) earlier this season. Gøling is only one assist away from tying the assists in a season record (5).

Mike Moser (TVFC) - The second-year Toledo Villa midfielder is a handful to deal with. With three assists on the season, Moser leads Toledo in that category, but is a leader on the field. Moser is also second on the team in shots (18).
