Cincinnati, OH (May 19, 2023) - An Ohio match-up is on slate to be the second match of the 2023 USL League Two season for Kings Hammer FC. A common rivalry in the state, Cleveland against Cincinnati will take place on the campus of Xavier University at Corcoran Field on Friday May 19 at 7:00pm. Cleveland Force SC look to build off their season opening draw (3-3 v. FC Buffalo) as KHFC look to rebound from their season opening loss (0-1 at Fort Wayne FC). Cleveland took the draw in the opener from a late equalizer after they had a 2-0 lead, then fell behind 2-3. What could have been three points, went to zero, until they clawed back to salvage a draw at home. Cleveland comes to Cincinnati in an early season match again, as the two faced off on May 20 during the 2022 season. Three different goal scorers found the net for the Force in their opener, Cole Werthmuller, Gavin Csiszar, and Ryan Sanborn.

Kings Hammer FC look to rebound after yet another season opening loss to Fort Wayne FC. In back-to-back seasons, KHFC fell to Fort Wayne FC by the exact same scoreline (0-1). In a fairly even match, KHFC did outshoot Fort Wayne, but that was not enough as only one shot found the back of the net and it came off a bicycle kick game winner for FWFC.

Kings Hammer FC has a combined 2-1-0 record against Cleveland Force SC in USL League Two play. The two clubs will face each other only twice in 2023, the return leg will be on Wednesday May 31 at Cleveland's new venue at Case Western Reserve University.

Notable players: 
Nic Lemen (KHFC) - Northern Kentucky University goalkeeper, Lemen turned away several shots to keep FWFC scoreless until the eventual winner. The 2023 USL2 season is Lemen's first in the League and first with KHFC.

Skyler Stricker (KHFC) - A member of the Liberty University men's soccer team, Stricker put together a strong defensive performance holding a high-powered FWFC attack to only one goal. The 2023 USL2 season is Stricker's first in the League and first with KHFC.

Cole Werthmuller (CFSC) - A potent attacking threat for two seasons in Cleveland. Werthmuller scored three goals in six matches at Cleveland in 2022. He has already one goal in one match for 2023.
