Cincinnati, OH (June 2, 2023) - A busy June that will see 11 matches between the Kings Hammer FC USL League Two and USL W League teams will begin with a USL2 match in Toledo on Saturday June 3. Toledo Villa FC are only two matches into the 2023 season while KHFC have played four so far. The Saturday evening match is scheduled for a 7:00pm kickoff at Paul Hotmer Field on the University of Toledo campus.

Toledo Villa FC will look to build on their Wednesday night win over Dayton 2-1. A late winner (86') gave Toledo their first win of the season in their first away trip. Previously, they opened the season at home against Fort Wayne FC, where they lost 2-1. Toledo has had three different goal scorers in their three goals, while also having three players tally an assist each.

Kings Hammer FC are looking to rebound on two straight draws, but all is not negative as the draws are apart of a three-match unbeaten streak. A win at Toledo could vault KHFC into second place in the Valley Division. A win from Toledo will put Toledo ahead of KHFC. A win or draw for KHFC will match the second-best unbeaten streak in club history (4), but most importantly a win and aim for top-two in conference will put the club in line for a third straight postseason appearance.

Kings Hammer FC will play back at home on Friday June 9 against long-time foe Dayton. The remainder of June will have KHFC play three away matches.

Notable players:
Marcello Jones (KHFC) - A three-year KHFC member, Jones is a constant on the scoresheet. Jones scored a brace in a 2-2 draw at Cleveland on Wednesday 5/31. Jones is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University.

Maouloune Goumballe (KHFC) - Goumballe leads KHFC in shots this season, but still looking for his first goal of 2023. A member of Kings Hammer from youth through adult, Goumballe has one more year at Indiana University.

Eli Shope (TVFC) - Shope scored his first Toledo Villa goal in the last home match for the club, a 2-1 loss to Fort Wayne. Shope plays at Bowling Green State University, Shope is a Toledo native who played at St. John's Jesuit and club with the Toledo Celtics.
