Highland Heights, KY (May 17, 2024) – After months of anticipation, Kings Hammer FC is back for the 2024 season. The first test for the KHFC men comes against Valley Division foes Cleveland Force SC. Fans can join us as we kickoff on the campus of Northern Kentucky University at Scudamore Field on Saturday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m..

In similar fashion to last season, KHFC opened their home slate with a match against the Force, winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Sam Robinson and Roberto Burlew. The Hammers would also draw 2-2 a few weeks later their trip north to Cleveland.

Kings Hammer FC look to start strong after missing the USL League Two playoffs in 2023 with a largely re-built roster. Speaking with head coach Paul Nicholson, he is optimistic heading into the new season.

“ We’re excited. It’s been two long weeks of preparation. We’ve had guys coming in-and-out of the squad in that time, but I feel like we’re in a really good place. I’m excited to get to play against different opposition and fight for three points.”

Notable Players:

Brock Kiper: Belmont University striker, Kiper returns to Kings Hammer FC as a leader in attack. Kiper scored six goals in 18 games for the Bruins this past collegiate season, additionally providing one assist.

Roberto Burlew: From youth academy to pre-professional, Burlew returns to KHFC for his fourth season. A recent graduate from Northern Kentucky University, Burlew is transferring to BIG 10 school, the University of Wisconsin for the 2024 fall season. In 17 games this past season, the attacking fullback scored three goals and provided four assists in 2023.

Jack Moxom: A new name to the roster for 2024 is goalkeeper Jack Moxom. An FC Cincinnati Academy alum, Moxom just completed his freshman season at the University of Pittsburgh. Moxom will look to use his summer with KHFC to build match sharpness ahead of the upcoming collegiate season and fight for a starting role with the Panthers.
