RECAP: KHFC Ladies Win on the Road Against St. Charles FC

St. Charles, Missouri (June 1, 2024)Kings Hammer FC’s W League match against St. Charles FC ended in a win, 4-1. 

The first half of the game started quickly! Taylor White scored her first goal of the season in the 4th minute, giving Kings Hammer FC the lead. Kings Hammer’s Lauren Donovan found the back of the net in the 30th minute assisted by Lilly Yordy giving KHFC the lead 2-0. Following the goal, in the 34th minute, a yellow card was issued to Rachel Jackson with St. Charles FC. Skylar Hollingshead received her first yellow card of the game in the 40th minute due to descent to the referee. 

Within the first minute of the second half, Kings Hammer FC and St. Charles FC substituted a player each. In the 54th minute, KHFC’s McKenzie Carle headed a fantastic ball right into the goal with the assist from Ellie Greenwell, securing their team a 3-0 lead over St. Charles FC. In the 64th minute, another yellow card was issued to St. Charles’ Skylar Hollingshead resulting in a red card ejection from the game. Kings Hammer FC and St. Charles FC substituted more players in the 66th minute. Once the 72nd minute of the match struck, St. Charles FC substituted three players. After some back-and-forth play, Kacey Watson scored and was assisted by Devin Tracy resulting in St. Charles receiving their first goal of the game in the 81st minute. Despite best efforts from St. Charles's defensive line, Taylor White struck the back of the net and scored her second goal of the game in the 89th minute. 

Kings Hammer FC’s USL W League team returns to the pitch next Saturday, June 8th to face St. Charles once more, this time at Scudamore Stadium at Northern Kentucky University.
